PAST is a community outreach program that puts Aurora Police Department personnel in touch with the senior citizens of Aurora. The police department remains mindful of our aging population and the program can provide many benefits while improving the quality of life for our seniors.
PAST Programs include:
Senior Watch where Aurora Police Department personnel check in by visiting or calling senior citizens on a regular basis and/or when time permits.
Safety Talks and Crime Prevention presentations given to groups on a number of topics including, fraud, scams, personal safety and home safety.
To be eligible for the Senior Watch programs, residents must be 65 years old or older, living alone, have limited or no contact with family members or caregivers, and limited mobility.
Gift bags were put together and delivered by police department personnel to some senior residents to enjoy for the Christmas holiday and other times throughout the year.
