On Saturday, Mayor Ann Womer Benjamin congratulated Lieutenant Robert Burrows on the occasion of his 101st birthday and presented him with a city proclamation. Lt. Burrows served in the Navy in the South Pacific during WWII and worked in Cleveland for many years. He and his wife, Norma, live in Cherry Park and enjoyed the birthday car parade arranged by police officer Vickie Yendriga and Bob’s caretakers. The Mayor was especially surprised and delighted to find out that Norma is the sister of longtime friends of the Mayor’s parents. It is a small world!
